Alona Rodeh is an Israeli born (*1979) visual artist, based in Tel Aviv and Berlin. In 2009, Rodeh received her MFA with honors from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (Tel Aviv), having also completed her exchange studies at RCA London. She has presented large-scale commissioned projects and solo shows, including “Safe and Sound” at Künstlerhaus Bethanien (as a part of an artist residency in the institution 2013-2014), Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art - Tel Aviv Museum (2013), Solo show at the Center for Contemporary Art Tel Aviv (2013), Plug In ICA (2012); Supported by organizations such as Artis, Outset, The Israeli Lottery Fund and more.
Through her work, Alona Rodeh examines cultural phenomenon through the agitation of objects, spaces and situations, which she develops into choreographed architectural performances, installations and images.
